5th Anniversary Quilt

This quilt was designed for the 5th Anniversary of The Cotton Cabin Quilt Shop. The log cabin represents the Shop, the blues in the log cabin blocks around the outside represent the Mississippi river while the green in the blocks represent the trees on the river bluffs. If you look close you will see one of the fabrics has women printed on it, they represent the women who work in the shop. The sunflowers are a Midwest classic and the crow was added just because we love them. Simplify is the way we try to live our lives, living it to the fullest yet not overlooking the simple things such as family, friends, fresh air, abundant gardens and the beautiful hills of our tri-state area, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. We hope this quilt brings you the same pleasure it has to all of us.

The kit includes the fabric to make the top and the binding plus all the felted 100% wool for the appliqué. You will also find in the package our new Cotton Cabin Kraft paper notepad, a package of #24 chenille needles to do the wool appliqué with and color 640 pearl cotton for stitching some of the appliqués pieces. Easy to follow pattern is also included. Finished size is 48” X 48”. This is a gorgeous wall hanging, and beautiful over a couch, chair or railing. You won’t find this design anywhere else as it was designed for our shop.
